Need more ways to earn diamonds, but love this game otherwise!

I love this game! Its so much fun, and I love that you kind of have to think like a horse breeder, but there needs to be many more ways to earn more diamonds. I cant afford to use all of my iTunes money on in-app purchases. Maybe we could be able to collect diamonds during steeplechases? Or maybe a diamond or two when you collect coins from stables that have reached max coin capacity. Just things like that so it doesnt take weeks to months to save diamonds for things like upgrading the grand stables and increasing the chances of getting higher tier horses, though I totally understand the need for revenue. But perhaps there is a better way to get it?
